- Ergonomic and human factors in system design:comprehensive analyze of occupational systems based on visualization and participation; ergonomic workplace design
- Prevention and education: integration of occupational safety and health into education and into vocational training
- Strains to the musculoskeletal system
- Analysis and assessment of hazardous substances
- semantic web / web 2.0: use of Social Software to enhance the competence of organisations and their employees
- Information- and data-management: using information technology for optimising analysis and risk assessment instruments
- Knowledge management data mining concepts, data bases integration, ontology development
- Psychosocial working environment: strategies for health promotion
- Integrated safety and health management: Conception of models, methods and IT systems. Development of implementing strategies for ergonomic and health preventing measurements.
- Learning and knowledge: learning models and strategies for e-Learning, blended learning and on-the-job learning
- PIMEX intervention strategies
- „Human Centered Technology“: non invasive sensor technology, sensor networks, user-friendly measurement and analysis instruments
Research activities
Research and development in the area of safety and health is a societal as well as a global challenge. To gain optimal outcome reseach and development activities in this area are performed in international cooperation between scientific organisations, educational institutes, public entities, companies and enterprize alliances from different countries.
